Nobody said it would be easy.
Reaching out – asking for help – can be extremely difficult.
And it’s easy to begin feeling isolated, unmotivated, exhausted, and hopeless.
Life is chaotic, and time never stops.
It slows down only long enough to leave you with feelings of anxiety, burnout, depression, fear and uncertainty about what comes next in its wake.
But nobody said you had to do it all by yourself.
What matters to you… matters to me, as well.
I structure my therapy sessions around that concept and will demonstrate that by listening with empathy, acceptance, and validation – not judgment.
When we work together, I’ll provide a judgment-free space where you can work toward creating the life you want to live.
Together, we’ll develop and implement goals based on your specific needs and desires.
I’ll meet you where you are.
Throughout our sessions, I’ll adapt to the role most beneficial to you.
If you need someone to remind you that you can do something even though it’s difficult, I’ll be supportive.
If you need someone simply to hear you and give you space to process all the thoughts in your head, I’ll listen.
If you need to develop skills to cope with something you are struggling with, I’ll provide you with the information you are looking for and help you use it.
Together, we’ll customize a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, exposure therapy, life skill enhancing techniques, and a supportive community to begin building the path each wants to walk.
A Little About Me
As a native of Pensacola, Florida, I find Michigan winters vastly different from those of my childhood.
I derive much of my life experience from being a mother, a wife, and an Air Force veteran who has traveled extensively worldwide. I’m passionate about living for the experience!
I have a master’s degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University. I became a social worker to help people.
My focus is teens, young adults, and active and inactive military service members.
